UI/UX Design, Web Development
Retro Health & Fitness is a physio care, spa & massage center that was managing its gym operations manually — spreadsheets, paper logs, or disconnected tools. The goal was to design and build a dedicated web application that gives admins and front-desk staff a single place to manage everything: members, subscriptions, payments, visits, and activity tracking.
Problem
The biggest challenge was designing for an environment where staff are moving fast. Every interaction needed to be immediate and obvious — no training required. The absence of a single system meant workflows differed by staff member and shift. We also needed to solve for subscription tracking that reflected geography and business rules, while keeping the platform simple enough for non-technical staff to adopt daily. The platform had to balance the needs of high-volume operations with straightforward coordination without adding complexity to the life of the administrator.
Solution
Retro Health & Fitness launched the first purpose-built management system for their gym — with 73 members onboarded, 39 payments recorded, and 110 visits tracked from day one of going live. The platform gave management real-time visibility into operations for the first time — improving consistency across shifts, eliminating manual record-keeping, and creating a foundation to scale membership as the business grows.
